We had a wonderful time in Seville, what a city. Apparantly the hottest city in Europe, but luckily for us it stayed below 30 degrees...just. When we arrived in the car it was pretty funny, we took a wrong turn into the narrow one way maze roads of the city. After settling in to our room we realised that not many shops or bars/restaurants were open. We wandered around for a bit and found a nice bar to watch the Barcelona v Chelsea match. After talking to some gents on business here who come from Madrid they explained to us that it was actually a week festival for residents of Seville. They also didn't have prior knowledge of this and that's why they were doing 'business' at the pub. Apparantly Sevillians were allowed this day off as everyone was out drinking the night before, cool! Many of the local ladies and young girls were dressed up in their Flamenco dresses and it was quite colourful and interesting to see.
Exploring the city by day was really fun and there is a lot to see here, including the Cathedral, the Alcazar, the Bullring, the river and many other historical sights. Here is a snapshot of a few of the places we saw...
