A Day In The Park

Saturday just gone was our big day of meeting, greeting and getting on the sauce with all of our housemates. Kimmy refered to our place as a bit like Big Brother, I concur. There are at last count around 26 people in the 16 room house plus dossers (friends of room mates who crash for a few days for cheap). Plenty of Kiwis, Aussies a few Irish, French and English. Kimmy has got to meet a fair few of them over the last couple of weeks, but me with a job (hours have been all over the place) I have only been able to have quick 'stop 'n chats' on the way in and out.

So bring on one of the flatties birthdays! Teirie celebrated her 31st in Hyde Park so we all went along for fun and games. Games included, three legged race (didn't help that we were getting legg-less), egg and spoon race, and some footy. What an awesome day, weather went down a treat and after plenty of action (and the fact we had ran out of beer) we headed back home. The challenge was set, half of us took the bus and the other half took the tube in the race of our lives. We took the bus and hauled ass, sprinted 5 mins from the bus stop to home as we thought we were lagging behind the tubesters, but no worries mate, we all chilled on the couch celebrating our victory with a beer for 10mins before the others arrived.

We freshened up and went for a boogie out in Fulham (10 mins bus from our place) while another group went to a dance party near the central city. Couldn't tell you what this place we went to was called, but it was perdy cool. Had to pay £7 to get in so we tried to get every penny worth. Music was choice and we headed home, but not before going to my new favourite fast food establishment, Chicken Cottage. We had the cottage for dinner but wanted to kick off round two of CC.

Sunday was a very lazy day, mooched around at home for the whole day then went out (for some more sitting down) to the movies for Ocean's 13. Today I have off too (so does Kim, ha) so we are doing our best to do not much again. Catching up on Emails and the like. Kimmy's job hunting continues but we have a couple of prime suspects topping the list, our housemates have been helpful in giving her some quality contacts. She has an interview tomorrow for a receptionist/PA position so we'll see what comes of that, wicked.

Hope you are well and you're winning the game of life.

Love, Matt
